Three Camera Shots
First we see a medium shot, with both the characters sat in a taxi at 0:00. This makes the audience feel as if they are in the seeing the characters though the drivers point of view, or the view of somebody outside the taxi.
Second we see a close-up of both the characters from besides Sherlocks shoulder at 0:13. This makes the audience feel as if they are sat beside the two characters, which further immerses them into the scene.
Thirdly, we see an extreme-close-up shot of John at 0:54, which gives the audience a view of the scene from Sherlock's point of view, drawing the audience in as the want to see how Sherlock saw their first meeting.
Two Camera Angles
From 0:00, both characters are shot from an eye level angle, this makes them seem real because we see people at eye level in day to day life, so if they are shot from this angle, it shows that they are people we would see in day to day life.
At 0:50, Sherlock is shot from a slightly lower angle. The fact that he is shot from slightly lower down indicates that he is more intelligent than the average man but not so different than he should be shot from extremely low down.
Camera Movement
From 0: 51 to 1:07 the camera constantly pans around John, pausing at vital details. This creates the effect that Sherlock thinks and sees from every angle, never missing any details. This further enhances the extreme intelligence that Sherlock has, making him appear smarter and more observant.
Whenever the scene cuts back to the two characters having a conversation in the car, the camera is quite shaky and it moves around a lot. This makes it seem like the camera is being held in someone's hand, making the scene more realistic. It also further emphasises how the audience feels like they are in the taxi with them.
